The health system for the new Women’s Care Center had a vision to deliver the most innovative, exceptional, and coordinated care. To best support the health and wellbeing of the local community, and to regain the health system’s women’s services market share, the center needed to serve as a model for outstanding patient experiences. The goal was to ignite interest in the area, while also exciting and helping recruit leading physicians and providers.

As part of a phased approach, the Women’s Care Center has a welcoming design that resembles a spa for its female patients. It is a state-of-the-art healing environment serving as a hub for wellness, clinical, educational, and referral support. The project also includes flexible spaces with a mix of exam, consultation, and counseling rooms. Evidence-based design was also a driving factor in the project’s scope. Engagement was created with inclusive seating and technology. To enhance emotional wellness and reduce stress, the space was designed to minimize noise, define zones, offer outdoor and indoor views through biophilic design, and more. It was also designed with enhanced lighting and innovative wayfinding. As a result, the Women’s Care Center is well positioned to offer dedicated care and meet the unique needs of its patients.
