To offer the region’s most technologically advanced cardiac care, St. Luke’s implemented a key phase of expansion that included the addition of catheterization labs, CT scanners, and a dedicated cardiac rehabilitation gym. These forward-thinking facilities support the full continuum of cardiovascular care—from diagnosis and intervention to recovery—while advancing the hospital’s commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate, patient-centered service.

This phase was part of a long-standing partnership between ERDMAN and St. Luke’s, built on strategic vision and responsive design. Facing a competitive and evolving healthcare landscape, St. Luke’s engaged ERDMAN to lead a multi-phased master planning effort focused on improving access, addressing market pressures, and aligning facility growth with financial and operational goals.

Deliverables have included strategic planning, programming, and design for a 176,500 sf medical office building and parking structure, a 36,000 sf surgical/procedural care center and skybridge, a 125,000 sf emergency and cath lab expansion, and an 81,000 sf vertical inpatient tower addition.

Together, these efforts have enabled St. Luke’s to serve its community with modern, high-performing environments that reflect its legacy of care and its future-forward mission.
