As a tribally governed entity, the mission of the Pueblo of Jemez Health and Human Services (JHHS) Department is to provide healthcare and social services while working to strengthen the Jemez culture and community—both now and for generations to come. That’s become increasingly challenging with JHHS operating from an inefficient facility with no room for growth. The department asked ERDMAN to analyze its current operations and also propose solutions that would allow JHHS to meet the following objectives:
ERDMAN conducted a market assessment of community health needs. We also led consensus-building within the tribal government organization to help them gain an in-depth understanding of the current challenges, developed alternative solutions for those challenges along with accompanying financial data, and presented leaders visual concepts for the potential solutions. Today, based on the decisions of tribal leaders and the JHHS, the Jemez community can now move ahead with implementing the solution, including:
