Proliance Highlands Medical Center

Proliance Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine had a well-established facility in Issaquah, Washington. But to meet the demands of a community growing rapidly, Proliance needed a partner to help them identify a new site and create a facility that would meet these objectives:

  1. Triple (or more) the number of providers from its current office
  2. Introduce a new ambulatory surgery center with MRI capability
  3. Increase market share
  4. Improve the overall patient experience
  5. Create an exceptionally efficient patient flow
  6. Provide an outstanding workplace for physicians and staff

In addition to design and construction services, ERDMAN provided growth assessment and financial analysis services for a new facility. We also analyzed several potential sites and ultimately helped Proliance negotiate an ideal parcel in a planned community. Today the new clinic has resulted in the following:

  1. Growth from a two-provider office with limited rehab to a seven-provider facility with expanded surgical and rehab capabilities, plus MRI services
  2. Successful recruitment of first-rate physicians and staff
  3. Volume projections that have been exceeded
  4. A comfortable, soothing patient atmosphere with enhanced privacy surgical suites
  5. A stunning building that fits beautifully with the Pacific Northwest aesthetic and affords expansive views of pine forests and mountains

Proliance now offers a premier orthopedic specialty center for the Issaquah area. ERDMAN completed a second addition for the facility in 2016, minimizing disruption to the existing practice and creating an architecturally seamless expansion—no small feat with an original exterior completed seven years earlier.

  5. Two sides of the building offer panoramic views of forested land that is permanently dedicated as open space – it will never be cut down
  6. Total Cost: $12,142,861
  7. Completion: 2009
