TESTIMONIAL

“Our community and campus MOB projects involved a series of transactions and communications among hospitals, private practice physicians, local government and community stakeholders. Because of ERDMAN’s depth and experience, the group was able to navigate all levels of complexity and translate the projects from concept to reality…

Positive experiences with the ERDMAN team in planning for a 60,000 SF community MOB led us to engage on a second 80,000 SF project on our hospital campus.”

IDENTIFIED CHALLENGES

Facey Medical Group wanted to increase access and improve the level of care for a diverse patient pool in the Mission Hills community of Los Angeles. With two existing facilities in the area already, Facey had a number of options to consider. To move forward with changes, Facey would need support confronting challenges like:

  1. Identify an ideal site to maximize market opportunity
  2. Create a community-based medical office building that provided a wide range of services from one convenient location
  3. Maintain market share with an exceptional facility, one fitting for the beautiful area and rapidly growing community of Bonney Lake

APPROACH / OUTCOME

ERDMAN entered into this joint venture of local physicians and provided site selection, design, and construction services. Since the project’s completion, members have accomplished the following with the new Bonney Lake Medical Building:

  1. Facilitated a collaborative strategy and design session that ensured buy-in from multiple entities
  2. Achieved greater volume
  3. Maintained and in some cases grown market share
  4. Expanded primary care services in the region
  5. Brought a number of medical specialties to a receptive patient population

The facility is the first “Class A” medical office space within the city. The attractive building, convenient location, easy surface parking, and comprehensive suite of services have helped to make the Bonney Lake Medical Building an integral part of the community.

QUICK FACTS

  1. Location: Bonney Lake, WA
  2. 58,500 SF, three-story medical office building

  4. Total Cost: $8,748,103
  5. Completion: 2011

IDENTIFIED CHALLENGES

The group members, including MultiCare Health Systems, Cascade Eye and Skin Centers, and Laboratories Northwest, next needed a partner to help them ultimately accomplish the following:

  1. Identify an ideal site to maximize market opportunity
  2. Create a community-based medical office building that provided a wide range of services from one convenient location
  3. Maintain market share with an exceptional facility, one fitting for the beautiful area and rapidly growing community of Bonney Lake
